The Office of Procurement & Contract Management oversees the District's procurement process to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and to promote small, women and minority-owned business enterprise participation in all of the District's contracts and purchases.
Our goal is to acquire services, supplies, equipment and construction in the most cost effective and efficient manner to meet our needs while ensuring a fair and open process. Additionally, our office works to align District annual spending, procurement and workforce policies, and training and development programs to maximize local economic development opportunities.
The core external service functions of the Procurement Department include:
- Oversee the Construction competitive bidding process, the RFP process for negotiated procurement, and the formal BID process for commodities and services
- Facilitate procurement with certified Small, Women, and Minority Business Enterprises
- Implement Local Workforce and Apprentice Utilization Requirements
- Coordinate the Workforce Development Training & Placement Program
