RISK MANAGEMENT COORDINATOR

The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) seeks an experienced individual to provide development, direction, management and coordination of the District's risk management activities and programs that include contractual risk transfer, claims administration, safety, loss control, security, strategic planning, and reporting program results. The Risk Management Coordinator also ensures compliance with risk management policies and procedures, local, state and federal regulations and overall direction and management of all safety programs at District-run facilities

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Management or job-related field and a minimum of six years of job-related experience is required.  Certification as an Associate in Risk Management (ARM) and/or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) is desirable. Project management experience, including experience in developing, managing and directing an Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) is preferred. High degree of interpersonal and problem-solving skills with proven negotiating skills and demonstrated ability to resolve conflict.   Knowledge of insurance industry standards and risk management practices as they relate to the public sector is strongly preferred.  Experience with Microsoft Office® products.  Valid Wisconsin driver's license.  Combinations of education and experience may also be considered.  Residency within MMSD boundaries (which includes Milwaukee County - excluding South Milwaukee) is required within one year.

SALARY:  $71,843.78 - $101,982.08 (2012 Rates) DOQ; competitive benefits package.
