The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) seeks a Project Manager to oversee engineering projects, to include the design and construction of sewers, buildings, and roads, in accordance with District policies and procedures. This position directly manages staff, including project engineers and inspectors, who are responsible for the design and construction of conveyance, watercourse, and treatment plant projects.

Requirements: Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related major and two to three years of related experience. A Professional Engineer's designation or equivalent is highly desirable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of construction project management techniques. Computer experience in Microsoft Office and information management highly desirable. Combinations of education and experience may be acceptable. Residency within the MMSD boundaries (which includes Milwaukee County excluding South Milwaukee) required within one year.

Salary: $54,681 - $76,549 DOQ; competitive benefits package

ENGINEERING AIDES – LIMITED TERM                                  View / Print pdf here
The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) seeks qualified candidates to fill Engineering Aide IV - LTE positions. These positions are limited term for a three year period. The Engineering Aides inspect construction projects to ensure compliance with specifications and required quality levels as well as keep accurate records of progress and procedures to report activities to the Resident Engineers.

Requirements: High school diploma or G.E.D. and ten years of progressively responsible construction experience including construction inspection, drafting, and at least one year of surveying; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to establish and maintain effective public and working relations. Ability to keep accurate and detailed records, field notes, contribute to detailed technical reports and records, and the ability to use computers. Ability to walk across uneven terrain for one to two miles, climb in and out of manholes greater than 100 feet in depth, and to work under compressed air environment. Physical capabilities to perform appropriate job-related tasks and valid Wisconsin driver's license. Residency within the MMSD boundaries (excluding South Milwaukee) required within one year.

Salary: $50,083; competitive benefits package.

Proven project management ability and a high degree of human relations and communication skills required. Experience related to Primavera and Microsoft Office Products highly desirable. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be acceptable. Residency within MMSD boundaries (which includes Milwaukee County excluding South Milwaukee) required within one year.

Salary: $61,786 – $87,737 DOQ; competitive benefits package.
